Happy Half Year!

Well, the pretty girl has made it a whole 6 months!

Her 1st beach trip to Hilton Head

I took her to the doctor for her 6 month well check Friday morning... She is healthy as can be, just little. She weighed in at 12 lbs. 12 oz. and 24 in. long which puts her in only the 5th% for her age. I, of course, panicked when I heard that. The doctor told me not to worry, she will grow sooner or later!

April

Emily had her first food in April. After a few days of cereal, we were able to try carrots. She loved them!We have tried it all now and her favorites are apples, bananas, and carrots. We went up to Charles and Debra's for Easter. Emily had just had her 4 month doctor appointment and was not feeling too hot, but the Easter Bunny still visited! Her big accomplishment this month was holding herself up and rolling over. It kind of scared her at first, but she got the hang of it. Don't blink when you watch the video, she rolls fast!

January-March

I was lucky enough to be able to take 12 weeks off from work on maternity leave with Emily. It was a great time for us to get to know each other and for Chris and I to figure out what in the world we were doing. Early in January, we had a huge snowstorm (huge for here anyway) and were snowed in for almost a week. We spent a lot of time visiting with family also. My grandparents came from Texas and stayed with us for a week in February.

In March, she started using her Bumbo seat to practice sitting up.

It's June already?!?

Wow, I just went to check the blog... been a while, huh?? Since I last posted in November, A LOT has happened. I am just going to go month by month to get us all caught up.

So... December 2010

I wen to the doctor on the 7th for my check and she said all looked great. We decided to go ahead and induce the following Thursday.

Our sweet baby girl arrived on December 16, 2010 at 3:17 in the afternoon.The induction, labor, and delivery were smooth for all involved. The rest of the month FLEW by like a whirlwind...
